Leaving London to our first stop of the day is the City of Oxford. Described by the 19th Century poet Matthew Arnold as the ‘City of Dreaming spires’. It has inspired writers such as JRR Tolkien and CS Lewis who studied at the university colleges of Oxford, some of the oldest places of study in the world. Walk in their footsteps and visit the locations used in JK Rowling''s Harry Potter Movies.
Leaving Oxford we continue our journey to ‘the Venice of the Cotswolds’, Bourton-on-the-Water, one of the prettiest villages in England, where you can stroll across the striking footbridges that cross the River Windrush and gives the village it''s nickname.
Taking the scenic route through picturesque Coln valley we will see the hidden Cotswold villages such as Moreton-in-Marsh and Stow-in-the-Wold said to be the highest settlement in the Cotswolds before we head back to London.
